Congratulations Corey Conley of Salem, OR. Corey and her fiance were the winners of our Love Story Video drawing at the Salem Bridal Show. Jeffrey already met with Corey and her fiance who are getting married in May.
The Love Story is becoming very popular to show at wedding receptions and rehearsals. It is an excellent way for your guests to learn about your story. We interview you and your fiance. How you met, how he proposed, your plans for the future… We film you and your fiancee in a beautiful setting. We can incorporate some of your favorite pictures. All of this is edited to a song of your choice to make a beautiful Love Story. Check back in May to see their Love Story.
This is a clip from Anna and Isaac’s wedding film at Zenith Vineyard in Salem, OR. This was shot entirely in super 8mm film. Super 8 gives an entirely different feel to your wedding day. Brides love the humming sound of the camera. Check out our testimonial from Anna and Isaac regarding their wedding film. They loved the addition of super 8. Here are some pictures from today’s bridal show. Jeff worked the morning shift and I was there in the afternoon. We will both be there tomorrow too. Jeff will be shooting some of the show for a video on the Oregon Wedding Showcase’s website. The beautiful flower arrangement in our booth was done by Denice from Distinctive Designs by Denice who is also at the show. Lights in the Attic – Photography & Wedding Films.
This is an example of a bridal portrait shoot that was also shot in super 8 mm film. Merge them together and you have what is called fusion. This was taken of Brittany in the alleys and parks of Salem, OR. This is just one of the many options Lights in the Attic offers. For more information view our website at www.LitaCreative.com. Shot at Proposal Rock on the Oregon Coast. The last half of the video has super 8 mm film clips with the HD shots. I love the contrast. It turned out really cool. The Oregon Coast had beautiful weather that day. This is a great way to trash the dress. Very romantic and dress isn’t completely ruined. While Jeff was shooting Fred from Encore Photography was taking pictures. Can’t wait to see how they turned out. You have searched and found your dream wedding dress. Videographers and Photographers like to shoot your wedding dress on the hanger. Either just hanging from the door or from a tree or even from a light fixture. However, no matter how creative your Videographer/Photographer is, they can’t do anything about a plastic hanger. I know you have a million things to think about, but putting some thought into what hanger to use will create a more beautiful picture/wedding film. Use a beautiful wooden or sateen hanger instead. Just keep in mind you don’t want to use a hanger that your dress is easily going to slip off.
Tip #2
Hire a wedding planner. If you can’t afford to hire a wedding planner then consider hiring a wedding organizer for your wedding day. If you absolutely positively can’t fit that in your budget, ask a friend or family member (who is not in the wedding party) to be the wedding organizer for the day. This should be someone who can naturally take charge and is very organized. This person will know where everything is, will know who the important people are that need to be filmed or photographed. They will keep the wedding day on track and you will have a more enjoyable day. Why? There is nothing worse than trying to film/photograph a bride who instead of enjoying her day is scrambling to find things, telling people what needs to be done and has that stressed out look! You can’t photoshop or edit out a stressed out bride. Your wedding film and pictures will show it.
Tip #3
Keep your room tidy. Getting ready for your big day is often documented by your Videographer and Photographer. The ritual of getting on the wedding dress, mom or best friend clasping your necklace and putting on those gorgeous pumps is all part of the wedding ritual. This whole process is filmed and photographed. However, you don’t want to see clutter and scattered clothes, curling irons etc in the background. Make sure there is at least one side of the room that is clutter free. So when you are slipping on your wedding dress, getting the last makeup touch up, your Videographer and Photographer can get amazing shots without the background spoiling the picture. Suzanne and Cherwyn were married at Zenith Vineyard in Salem, OR. The caterer at Zenith Vineyard is done by Vibrant Table. Not only is their food delicious, the presentation is stunning. I always notice wonderful service from their staff. The cake and flowers were also done by Vibrant Table. I loved the color pop in the cake. Wedding Coordinator was Sue from SHE Designs. Photographer Chris Becerra. The sunset that night had some unbelievable colors. Hair was by Chrystal Waddel, Make up Austie Eckley. Officiate was done by Johanna Respini. We have filmed several weddings where Johanna was the officiant. She always performs a memorable ceremony. DJ was Big Adventure Entertainer. Suzanne and Cherwyn also had a harpist. The harpist was shot both by HD and super 8mm cameras. I loved the wind blowing her hair and how green everything looked behind her. This wedding film starts with super 8mm.
